Tasks
At paretos, you will be part of the engineering team to develop and operate the paretos platform. You will work together with our AI specialists and data engineers to develop the part of our product using cutting-edge artificial intelligence to our current and future customers. On the mission to help businesses with "No More Bad Decisions," you will be responsible for:
- Bringing data-driven decision making into easy-to-use products or applications
- Working together with a diverse and motivated team on the full lifecycle of our product where engineering concepts are discussed and iterated as well as new requirements for our product
- Collaborating with a high achieving team to design, test and operate scalable software products
- Applying best practices for agile development, including clean code, testing and code reviews
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3-5 years of working experience as a back-end or full-stack engineer, preferably in an AI or mathematic-intensive environment
- Proven experience in creating products or applications that address complex and ambiguous business problems. Experience in the Retail, Logistics, or Manufacturing industries is a plus
- You are used to working autonomously and self-determined
- Fluent in German and English
- Proficient in Python with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory
- Experienced in backend development using modern frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Science, Optimization or Business Rules is a plus
