Senior Android Developer (Card Issuing)

The Core Banking Team, you will be responsible for crafting the services that form the backbone of our Banking Product. The Core Banking Team aims to craft modern and scalable solutions based on the departments’ initiatives. We are customer-centric as all of our initiatives impact directly our customers. 
Responsibilities: 

• Build mobile SDK for merchants to support key capabilities of payment gateway. 
• Maintain and write new components of the SDK, used across the world by our customers. 
• Development of the product and its integration with back-end services. 
• Set up the efficient SDK release process. 
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. 
• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code. 
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. 
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. 
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. 
• Work alongside other engineers who are working on different layers of the infrastructure. 
• Collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products are essential. 

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience working on mobile based apps alongside technologies such as Kotlin, and Java 
• Experience developing SDK libraries 
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes 
• Experience working with Material Design/Jetpack for UI development 
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices 
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines 
• Ability to go deep in the Android stack and navigate AOSP code when needed 
• Familiarity with Restful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services 
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning 
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch” 
• Exposure with IDEs such as Eclipse and Android Studio 
• Solid understanding of Protobuf, JSON, REST, and other similar web services. 
• A reliable account of the software development process, including unit testing and release management. 
• Ability to brainstorm and effectively discuss technology ideas and issues.
