At perto, we are expanding our frontend team for an exciting new energy efficiency initiative called pertoIOTA, part of our Efficiency-as-a-Service (EaaS) strategy. We're building a smart IoT platform that connects HVAC and lighting systems to track and optimize energy usage in real time. The project is partially funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Tasks

Develop and enhance modern web applications using React or Angular
Design UI/UX layouts and components in Figma and translate them into fully functional web interfaces
Ensure the reusability and design of the Storybook component library
Implement unit tests using tools like Jest or React Testing Library
Write end-to-end (E2E) tests using frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data communication
Continuously improve the user experience by refining the UI based on feedback and best practices
Stay up-to-date with frontend trends and contribute ideas to enhance our stack and processes

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience with TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework, such as React or Angular
Proficient in using Figma to create clean, user-friendly interface designs
Familiarity with Storybook for documenting and managing UI components
Understanding of unit testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing practices
Experience with testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus
Knowledge of responsive design and basic API integration
Possess a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
Fluent in English (German is a bonus)
