Hello, we’re PHONT, an innovative startup based in Frankfurt. Our vision is to bring subtitles to life and reimagine a tool that hasn’t evolved in a hundred years. We’re doing this by integrating emotional nuances into subtitles through the combination of AI and design. We are currently seeking a Design Intern who is passionate about user experience, motion design, and typography to help us shape and test our product. This internship is ideal for students in their final year or recent graduates, with a strong potential for transitioning into a full-time position after three months.

Aufgaben

Assist in developing the UX design of our web app, creating user-centered designs that align with our product vision
Conduct usability testing to ensure an optimal user experience and gather actionable feedback
Research and curate motion assets that align with PHONT's core product.
Everyday design work from print to digital that comes up in a startup
Help develop engaging visual concepts for social media advertising and client projects
Manual animation and design of subtitles in After Effects for product showcases

Qualifikation

We are looking for:

A strong portfolio that demonstrates your skills in UX/UI design, motion graphics and/or typography.
Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma or XD.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for typography, motion and user-centered design.
The ability to tackle challenges independently and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with digital projects and user testing methods.
Knowledge of the principles of motion design and their application to web interfaces.
Interest in accessibility and inclusion design.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) to bridge the gap between design and development.
Experience in creating content for social media campaigns.
Interest in occasional office visits for brainstorming and teamwork.
