    The Purpose:

    The Local Payments team’s mission is to effectively and efficiently enable merchants to sell goods and services to consumers anywhere in the world using their favourite local payment method. We connect to the local payment methods and enable domestic and cross border payment corridors. Our portfolio comprises of a vast array of global LPMs, from PIX in Brazil, to Alipay in Asia, to Klarna, iDeal, Twint, Swish and many more in Europe.

    Your impact in this role:

    As a Senior Product Manager in the Local Payments team, you will own, enhance and develop a part of our global portfolio of schemes and payment methods. You will join a team of highly skilled Product Managers delivering solutions that allow people to pay the way they want, any time and everywhere. Domains are co-lead by product and engineering to accelerate product development, innovation and empower teams to act fast and make decisions in the best interest of our customers and business. Our team is diverse; composed of multiple cultures and time zones allowing us to deliver exceptional products globally. You will find lots of technical challenges and room for contributing with your ideas and experiences, no matter what your background is.

    We make things better: Own and develop Local Payment Methods at a global scale. Develop innovative payment products that drive value for our customers and our business.

    We put the customer first: Engage with customers, schemes and partners, to define a strong and scaling value proposition. Continuously measure the performance of your portfolio, by defining and validating metrics.

    We get things done: Document clear “requirements” for the delivery of solutions, whilst providing the necessary context for your team on the problems they are solving, connecting it to their strategy, and linking how the solutions will impact key metrics. Keep deadline commitments and work through ongoing delivery constraints with agility.

    We work as a team: Closely align with relevant stakeholders within and outside the organisation, your engineering counterpart and domain leadership. Ensure stakeholders are aware of timelines and the rationale behind them.


    What would make you a great fit:
  • Experience as a hands on, results oriented Product Manager, who has worked closely with engineering.
  • Domain experience, as well as a passion for the strategic, business & operational aspects of payments.
  • A track record of working closely with engineering organisations, with the ability to understand  complex api-based technology and develop requirements.
  • You can read and write API specifications.
  • Communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organisation, rally people around an exciting vision, and generate buy-in for ideas and plans.
