About the Job
We are looking for a highly motivated Chief Technology Officer (f/m/d) to join one of our portfolio companies. In this role, you will lead and scale the technology division. The CTO will be a critical member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s technology strategy across software, hardware, and system integration.
In your day to day work, you will manage a talented and growing team, drive technological innovation, and ensure alignment with business goals.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and implement the overall technology roadmap to support the vision and growth, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Oversee the development of advanced autonomy, sensor fusion, electronics, and control systems
- Lead the development of robust software solutions including autonomy algorithms, radio communications, cybersecurity, and real-time applications. Ensure seamless integration of internal and external technologies
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the integrity of the systems and platforms
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers, developers, and technical leads. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, business development, and operations. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors for co-development and integration efforts
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning as part of the leadership team, including R&D investments and technological innovations. Translate company objectives into actionable technical milestones
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for all tech-related initiatives. Align resource allocation with product development timelines and Series A growth objectives
- Ensure all products and systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Your Profile
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar
- Expertise in software development, autonomy, sensor integration, real-time systems, and control systems
- Solid understanding of radio systems, electronics, and cybersecurity
- Demonstrated success in scaling tech teams and systems during rapid growth stages (post-Series A funding or similar)
- Strong ability to translate complex technological challenges into business solutions
- Experience in managing both internal teams and external development partners
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and at the executive level
- A passion for innovation, problem-solving, and cutting-edge technology
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with government contracting, including navigating regulatory environments
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools
Please note that we are looking for support based in Germanyoffice of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
