  • As a Certification Engineer -Hardware Electronics, you will be a key member of our Hardware R&D team, ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and can be distributed without regulatory complaints.
    Working with our world-class team of 22 people, you will play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology.

    You will work closely with stakeholders from all areas of development to ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of all new developments.
    By increasing the quality of development, you will support Quantum Systems in its mission to become the benchmark for airborne data collection solutions using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (sUAV).

    Tasks

    What is your Day to Day Mission:

    • Ensure compliance of our products with all national and international regulations (e.g. CE, FCC, FAA, EASA, authorities, major customers).
    • Coordinate certification activities and deadlines
    • Project management and coordination of international certification projects with external partners and laboratories
    • Development support, review and advice on regulatory compliance
    • Representation of company interests and support in the development of certification standards
    • Preparation of SORA flight applications for test and demonstration flight

    Requirements

    What you bring to the team:

    • You have a Master's degree (or equivalent) in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
    • You already have more than 3 years of practical experience in the field of aerospace or product approval.
    • You have a very good knowledge of EU product regulations, in particular RED, EMC, LVD and RoHS. Ideally, you are familiar with the 2019/945 and 947 regulations for the approval and operation of drones and have good experience with the JARUS SORA method.
    • You enjoy working in a structured manner and have a personal interest in drones or aerospace.
    • You are highly self-motivated and able to work independently in your area of responsibility.
    • Your open, communicative, friendly and competent manner makes it easy for you to be seen as an internal expert by your colleagues.
    • German level B2 is necessary and professional English.
