Team
The team is part of the “Deposit Tribe”, which consists of four teams that collaborate closely on the mission: To deliver solutions which enable simple, effective deposit taking banks partnerships that offer best-in-market Deposit products to Customers.
As a cross-functional team consisting of frontend and backend engineers, Deposits Brokerage team builds, runs and maintains the core platform solution for Raisin, enabling the capability to serve our public deposits offering on B2C and B2B channels, receive deposit orders and maintain their state over time.
The team owns the whole lifecycle from design and development through maintenance of the services at runtime. The team is responsible for the 24/7 runtime support of their services.

Your Responsibilities
- You will be the TechLead (no people responsibility) in your team.
- Advocate for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code across the team’s tech stack - mainly Java, but Python as well for backend - adhering to best practices in software development. Implement new features and maintain existing codebases to ensure high performance and availability.
- Collaborate within the tribe to design and implement robust software architectures that meet business needs, particularly in the context of financial applications. Ensure that these architectures are scalable, maintainable, and can adapt to future technological changes or business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to improving the development process. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality output within the team.
- Translate product requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions by providing technical insights. Ensure that all solutions delivered align with and support the organization's objectives
- You master all product and technical aspects of the domain.
- You are the go-to tech person for all system components in your domain, both for your team and tribe, and also from outside the tribe.
- You will coordinate, unblock and report the status of a complex delivery and rollout, where several people across teams are involved.
- You research and shape multiple alternative technical solutions when possible.
- You actively manage the technical debt and documentation in your team.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and peers, helping them grow their skills and improve their coding practices. Lead by example in adopting best practices and pushing the boundaries of technical excellence
- You participate in the hiring process with techfit interviews and tech challenge reviews.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
- 2+ years TechLead or Engineering Lead experience
- Very strong hands-on development focus.
- You have a proven track record of leading complex cross-team technical projects and initiatives.
- Your deliveries have exceptional quality in both functional and non-functional aspects (security, scalability, resilience)
- You are a highly respected mentor and coach
- You are a master code reviewer and excellent pair-programmer
- You are a strong strategic contributor in your domain. You can learn and own a complex domain and workflows.
- You initiated, owned, and nurtured tech initiatives
- Proven expertise in developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications using Java, Python and SQL for the backend and optionally TypeScript/JavaScript for the frond-end.
- Previous experience working on projects that involve financial data, such as financial reporting, or integration with financial systems.
- Solid experience with event driven microservices architecture (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, AirFlow, MySQL).
- English is our company language and excellent verbal and written skills are a must
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
