Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, a new IT Controlling structure needs to be defined. The goal is to establish efficient, standardized, and future-proof processes tailored to the needs of the new organization.
To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced IT Controlling Expert. This is a full-time role with occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Tasks
- Develop a comprehensive IT Controlling concept for the newly formed unit.
- Define strategic approaches and the next steps for IT Controlling.
- Establish a solid framework balancing long-term objectives with immediate operational needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including CIO, Application Team, End User Services, Infrastructure, Service Desk, IT Projects, and Security.
- Align necessary IT controlling structures with business and IT requirements.
- Provide training and enablement for internal employees to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Degree in Business Informatics, Finance, IT Management, Controlling, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Experience in IT Controlling, Financial Controlling, IT Governance, or IT Finance.
- Understanding of IT cost structures, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or financial reporting tools is an advantage.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of KPIs and performance measurement in IT environments.
- Ability to develop process documentation and IT cost models.
Soft Skills & Communication:
- Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders (CIO, IT Project Teams, Finance, Service Desk, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to developing IT controlling concepts.
- Experience in training and enabling internal teams.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- German is a plus!
