  • Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, SAP and non-SAP systems will be partially rebuilt, adapted, and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization.

    To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced IT Security Expert for SAP and non-SAP Systems. This is a full-time role with an occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

    Tasks

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT security strategy tailored to the carve-out project.
    • Assess the security risks associated with the transition, including system rebuilds, data migrations, and integrations.
    • Design and enforce security policies, standards, and protocols to protect SAP and non-SAP systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure configurations and practices during system implementations.
    • Provide guidance on secure data migration and integration processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
    • Monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Document security measures, processes, and incident reports to ensure knowledge sharing and transparency.

    Requirements

    • Extensive experience (8+ years) in IT security, cybersecurity, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing security in complex projects.
    • Deep understanding of SAP and non-SAP system security, including best practices for configurations and data protection.
    • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of IT security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
    • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, risk assessments, and incident response.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Fluency in English; German is a plus
