Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, SAP systems will be partially rebuilt, adapted, and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization. A key focus will be on integrating existing systems and implementing seamless data extraction to ensure consistent and efficient business processes.
To support this initiative, we are looking for an experienced SAP BW Integration Specialist. This is a full-time role with occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The project duration is expected to be 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Tasks
- Plan, implement, and optimize interfaces between SAP BW and existing systems.
- Develop and configure interfaces to external systems, ensuring seamless integration and robust data exchange.
- Execute and enhance data extraction processes (ETL) from existing systems into SAP BW.
- Ensure flawless integration and data consistency between source systems and SAP BW.
- Collaborate on the integration of SAP BW with other SAP modules, such as FI/CO, SD, and MM.
- Analyze existing interfaces and adjust them to meet the requirements of the carve-out project.
- Design and maintain interface architecture and technical specifications.
- Support functional teams in analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions within SAP BW.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration and data extraction processes, ensuring optimal performance.
- Create comprehensive documentation and transfer knowledge to operational teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience integrating SAP BW with external systems, ideally with Original Equipment Solutions Systems.
- Proven expertise in data extraction, modeling, and transformation (ETL) within the SAP BW environment.
- Strong experience in developing and configuring interfaces using tools such as SAP BTP, IDoc, OData, or APIs.
- Familiarity with the integration of SAP BW with other SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM).
- Understanding of business processes and data requirements in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Expertise in ensuring data quality and optimizing performance for data integration processes.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFe and an agile mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written).
