  • As part of the Finance team, the Accountant will assume an important role in the overall financial management of the company. The Individual will have primary day-to-day responsibility for bookkeeping, accounts reconciliations, reporting and other financial-related activities of multiple entities to begin with and depending on potential could progress to a managerial position. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, forecasting, controlling, and managing relationships with vendors, financing & business partners. You will contribute to a work environment that is respectful, considerate, team-oriented and open to dialogue.

    Tasks

    • Preparation and booking of accounts directly in Oracle Netsuite
    • Reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable
    • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
    • Preparation of (sales) tax returns
    • Invoice approval and creation according to tax requirements
    • Active liaison with tax consultant
    • Supporting and overseeing purchasing processes and inventory
    • Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place
    • Setting up interfaces for finance infrastructure and supporting controlling needs
    • Assisting GMs in various topics like maintenance, vendor management, etc.

    Requirements

    • BA, or higher-level degree in Accounting or related fields
    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an accountant, or similar roles
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, especially HGB
    • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
    • Experience and interest in implementing financial tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
    • Strong problem-solving skills resulting in sound judgments and decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
    • High level of integrity and dependability
    • Results-and goal-orientated while maintaining high standards for self and others
    • Strong personality with an ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
    • Affinity towards hospitality, finance, and technology
