    We are looking for a Junior Project Buyer to join our team in Germany (Schweinfurt or Nürnberg).


    What will you be doing?

    • Act as a bridge between the direct purchasing team located in Italy and R&D team located in Germany. Project Buyer will report to (solid line) Supply Chain Manager (Italy) and matrix (dotted line) to the Senior Director Sales, Marketing, Project Management (Germany).
    • Project Buyer will manage Direct and Indirect Purchasing and support with administrative tasks required to maintain German office locations.
    • Be part of the direct purchasing team and interface with R&D and other departments involved in the project.
    • Search and identify potential suppliers, as well as participate in supplier’s selection and approval process under consideration of all sourcing aspects (e.g. quality, capacity, certification).
    • Send RFI’s and RFQ’s to the suppliers.
    • Support budgeting process.
    • Travel from time to time to suppliers and Italian location of SolarEdge.
    • Create costed BOM (Bill of Material).
    • Issuing PR’s and PO’s in the system.

    Requirements

    • Highly motivated, open-minded personality with hands-on mentality.
    • Base technical understanding in mechanics and mechatronics (focus on electric motor).
    • Strong affinity for commercial and technical aspects.
    • Willingness to work in international environment.
    • Negotiations and communication skills and initial experience in commercial departments.
    • Very good English and German are required.
