Who We're Looking For

As a Sr. Android Developer at Spark Networks, you will play a key role in owning and developing key components of our platform. You will collaborate closely with our product management, development, and UX teams in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Your expertise will help drive the success of our mobile applications, ensuring they provide a seamless experience for millions of users worldwide. 

What You'll Do 

• Own Key Components: Create, build, and support key components within our platform. 

• Adopt Best Practices: Implement best practices in software engineering, including design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations. 

• Technology Decisions: Support your peers in choosing the right tools for the job and participate in architecture review boards. 

• Collaborate: Work closely with product management, development, and UX teams using a mix of Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming methodologies. 

Who You Are 

• Experienced Developer: You have experience in building apps that reuse code across multiple brands. 

• RESTful Services: Experience in building services using RESTful principles is a plus. 

• Stack Understanding: You understand the whole stack and specialize in one or more areas. 

• Test and Deploy: Comfortable writing tests and contributing to a continuous deployment system for mobile. 

• Passionate and Motivated: Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and good organizational skills. 

• Fast Learner: Willingness and ability to pick up new languages and frameworks when required. 

• Team Player: Enjoys working in a team and supporting colleagues. 

• Fluent in English: Proficient in both written and verbal communication. 

Requirements

Who You Are 

• Experience in building apps with reusable code across multiple brands. 
• Experience in building services using RESTful principles is advantageous. 
• Strong understanding of the Android stack and proficiency in one or more areas. 
• Comfortable with writing tests and integrating them into a continuous deployment system for mobile.
