At Spellfusion, we strive to create captivating indie games by merging the tried and trusted with the innovative and new. We're looking for a concept artist based in NRW, Germany, and currently enrolled as a university or college student to support our latest project, Nether Spirits. While we're searching for someone who feels comfortable designing environments in particular, all art/design students are welcome to apply.

The internship will last three months, or up to six months if it's a mandatory internship.

Nether Spirits is a rogue-like deckbuilder set in a mystical realm known as The Nether, a place where fractured souls fight tooth and nail to reach their goal: a pillar of blue light said to make them whole again.

Tasks

Bring the mystical world of Nether Spirits to live
Create game-ready 3D assets for environments, characters & creatures based on 2D art

Requirements

You live in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany, or are willing to move to NRW for the duration of the internship
You're currently enrolled for a bachelor's or master's degree
You're skilled in creating game-ready 3D assets for environments, characters and/or creatures (please tell us about your strengths & weaknesses — what do you feel most comfortable drawing? Where do you have a lot or a lack of experience?)
You're able to work in a team and incorporate feedback into your design process
You're fluent in either German or English
