Assistant to the General Manager

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Berlin, SSAM Korean BBQ is a culinary hotspot celebrated for its authentic Korean cuisine and dynamic dining environment. We are currently seeking an Assistant to the General Manager to support our leadership team in overseeing restaurant operations and managing HR functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a top-tier guest experience.

Tasks

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, focusing on service standards, staff management, and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting exit interviews.
• Maintain accurate employee records, assist with performance reviews, and support staff training and development to ensure a productive and motivated team.
• Help create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and effective service delivery.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining operational records. Support payroll processing and compliance with health, safety, and hygiene
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient service across all departments.
• Assist during peak hours or special events to ensure that front-of-house operations run smoothly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both English and German.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with restaurant management software.
