We are seeking an experienced German-speaking IT Consultant to support our client in a JBoss migration project. The role will start with an initial 1-2 day meeting in Hamburg to discuss the project scope, followed by fully remote work for the remainder of the 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled consultant to contribute to a critical migration project within a dynamic IT environment.

Tasks

Lead and execute the migration of JBoss applications to a new environment.
Assess existing infrastructure, define migration strategy, and ensure a seamless transition.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the migration process.
Document processes, provide training if necessary, and ensure system stability post-migration.

Requirements

Fluent German and English skills (spoken and written) are a must.
Strong experience in JBoss migration projects and middleware technologies.
Proficiency in Linux-based environments, including shell scripting and system administration.
Solid understanding of Java EE applications and their deployment on JBoss.
Experience with cloud-based solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
