sPro - sustainable-projects is a consultancy specialized in the coordination of transnational projects, mostly funded by the European Commission. Our topical focus lies in projects dealing with the sustainable use of the sea. We run the permanent secretariat of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth and act as coordinators of the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea. SUBMARINER is the cooperation platform for actors/initiatives across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond who promote innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources.
We have a long-term portfolio of over 25 large-scale projects and operate with an extensive network of trusted cooperation partners from all European countries, encompassing research, industry, business development, NGOs, and the public sector. We currently have 35 employees coming from a wide range of different academic backgrounds with more than 15 different nationalities.
Tasks
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance visibility and engagement for the SUBMARINER Network and sPro Sustainable Projects.
- Align activities with project managers working on communications work packages, providing guidelines and setting standards.
- Manage, oversee and implement the content creation process for websites, social media platforms, newsletters, videos and press releases.
- Monitor and analyse communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and optimise future activities.
- Develop and manage a communications budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are implemented.
- Support project proposals, implementation and reports with high-quality communication inputs and dissemination plans.
- Ensure high quality and brand consistency across all digital and print communications, adhering to established guidelines; developing and improving guidelines and resources for staff members.
- Provide training and support to team members to ensure effective communication within and outside the organisation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field or an equivalent in practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of Communications.
- Proven experience in a communications role within sustainability, environmental projects, or international networks.
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including content management systems (e.g. WordPress) and social media management tools.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team.
- Excellent written and spoken English (additional European languages are a plus).
