Tasks

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a PR & Communications Working Student at Synera, you’ll join the Marketing team of Merle, Daniel, Jaime and Moritz, and dive into the world of media relations. You’ll be the go-to person in assisting with journalist inquiries, managing press contacts, and tracking & maintaining our media coverage. You’ll also take the lead on project-managing the creation of press releases and articles, working along the cross-functional teams of Customer Success, Sales & Marketing, and our founders to showcase our use cases and success stories. Alongside this, you’ll support us with drafting blog posts and social media content, keeping our communication strategy fresh and impactful.

What a week at Synera could look like:

• Monday: You kick off the week with the company All-hands and Marketing stand-up to align on tasks and priorities. Afterwards, you set time aside to respond to journalists' queries and follow up on content drafts with Customer Success Managers and founders. If you're facing any challenges, don't worry — you'll have a 1:1 with your lead to discuss everything.
• Tuesday: It's your project day! You check on your press contact list, follow-up with content creators in the Customer Success team or draft LinkedIn posts to promote Synera’s latest work. You might also sit down with one of the Founders to get fresh updates or call journalists to track down stories.
• Wednesday: You collaborate with the Marketing and Design teams on the latest newsletter mailing to make sure the world reads your stories. Later, in the Marketing weekly, you discuss updates and celebrate the team’s wins.
• Thursday & Friday: These are your days off! You can enjoy a long weekend or use the time to get ahead in your studies.

Requirements

Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.

• You're confident reaching out to journalists and meeting with Founders, using strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
• Native German and fluent English are required to build relationships with both German press & our international team.
• You have project management skills and a proactive mindset, allowing you to tackle tasks, find solutions, and coordinate efforts effectively.
• If you love creative writing, have knowledge of SEO and Email Marketing, it's a great bonus!
