Our client contributes to reducing industrial air pollution with their products and operates globally with around 2,400 employees. As the “HR Director Germany” (all genders), you will be responsible for managing and overseeing 6 locations in Germany, based at the site in the Offenburg area.
Location: Offenburg Area (Baden-Württemberg)
Aufgaben
- Leadership of the German HR team with two employees
- Collaborate closely with department heads and senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives and provide advice on personnel-related matters
- Ensure that all HR policies and practices comply with local and international labor laws, mitigating risk and preventing legal disputes
- Prepare and deliver regular HR reports, including workforce analytics, employee performance, and retention rates, to inform decision-making at the executive level
- Monitor key HR KPIs to track the efficiency of HR processes and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Oversee HR-related costs, including recruitment, training, and employee benefits, ensuring efficient allocation and management of the HR budget
- Ensure compliance with internal and external HR audits, addressing any gaps in processes or policies to maintain legal and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the works council on employee matters, negotiations, and compliance with co-determination rights under labor law
- Lead or support restructuring processes, including acquisitions or realignment, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with legal requirements
- Develop and implement organizational structures and staffing plans to support business growth and operational efficiency, including succession planning and standardization between the different locations
- Manage change processes within the organization, including adapting HR strategies to evolving business needs and market conditions, and digitalization projects
Qualifikation
- Several years of experience as a HR generalist in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of German labor law
- Ideally, experience in dealing with work councils
- Strong communication and negotiation skills across all hierarchy levels and with various stakeholders
- Good knowledge of HR systems and digital tools
- A certain hands-on-attitude and team player
- Proven track record in implementing change management projects
- Leadership skills
- Willingness to occasionally visit other locations
- Fluent in German and English
