  • Are you ready to be at the forefront of innovation?

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to take charge of a greenfield project that will revolutionize the future of mobility. This isn’t just another job—it’s your chance to create something from the ground up with a real impact on how millions of people navigate the world every day.

    What you’ll do
  • You’ll be at the helm of designing and implementing high-performing algorithms that extract valuable insights from massive, imperfect datasets. Your work will transform raw data into actionable information, shaping the future of traffic technology.
  • This is your opportunity to build something entirely new. You’ll architect and develop infrastructure and models that will drive the next generation of traffic services. Your solutions will be built from scratch, optimized for performance, scalability, and real-time impact.
  • You’ll work alongside an international team of top-level engineers and data scientists. Together, you’ll conceptualize and deliver groundbreaking travel-information products that improve the daily journeys of millions.
  • Dive into one of the largest traffic data streams in the world. You’ll work with real-time and historical data from connected devices, constantly pushing the limits of what’s possible in data science and engineering.
  • Your code won’t just sit in a repository—it will be live, making decisions in real-time, directly influencing how people move through cities and beyond.

  • What you’ll need
  • You have a Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Your academic background has equipped you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in this role.
  • You bring deep proficiency in Java, Python, and UNIX/Linux environments. You know how to design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures that perform at scale within a public cloud environment like Microsoft Azure.
  • You have 3 to 8 years of commercial experience, with a strong track record in architecting and developing systems from the ground up, with a focus on performance, scalability, and real-time impact.
  • You thrive on tackling complex problems, using your analytical skills to develop solutions that are both innovative and practical. Your approach to problem-solving is methodical, yet you’re not afraid to embrace innovative approaches.
  • You’re a true team player who enjoys working in an international, collaborative environment. You value diverse perspectives and understand that the best solutions come from collective effort.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. You can explain complex technical concepts in a way that’s easy to understand, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • This position is based in Berlin. Therefore, we can only accept candidates that already live in or are in the process of relocating to the Berlin metropolitan area.

  • Nice to have
  • If you have a background in data engineering and statistical data analysis, that’s a big plus. Your ability to handle and process large datasets will be invaluable.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, cloud computing, and software architecture will set you apart. Familiarity with Azure and other cloud platforms will help you hit the ground running. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture will set you apart.
  • If you’ve worked with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools or have experience in traffic engineering, you’ll bring valuable insights to the team.
