As our Business Operations Rockstar, you facilitate the work of everyone around you by implementing automations and dashboards.
You demonstrate entrepreneurship in strategy discussions, supporting the founders on fundraising topics and leading high-priority projects across multiple work streams.
Guide all teams to achieve company goals by translating our company strategy in clear objectives, milestones and outcomes.

Tasks

🎯 Promote our operational excellence: Collect relevant data and create thorough reports that enable us to move faster.

Emphasize financial planning: You budget and track our expenses across different departments.
Use your Excel-Skills to prepare financial reports and set up dashboards & automations that allow us to handle our finances with ease.
Critically question, analyze and improve existing processes: We constantly aim to improve our setup with maximum efficiency. Help us to build the best possible version of tozero with world-class processes enabling us to have a smoothly running organization.
Have the big picture in mind: Monitor our target achievement and apply the right levers to achieve our OKRs & KPIs.
Manage and drive your own projects: At tozero you will get responsibility from day one. You will work on multiple projects in parallel that will require you to be adaptable across multiple functions.

Requirements

🧠 You love to work autonomously and are self-motivated, able to tackle different challenges and adapt to a constantly changing and highly demanding work environment. At the same time, you are competitive and results-focused, understand KPIs and are driven to smash targets.

Experience: 1-2 years work experience in a fast-paced environment (start-up / strategy consulting / investment banking)
Qualification: Bachelor in Business Administration or related field from a top university (Master is a plus!)
Languages: English is mandatory; good German understanding is necessary (B2 min.)
Problem Solver: You can break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work using such tools as Excel. You can make a good business case and convince people to help you execute
Business Operator at heart: Creating from scratch excites you. Figuring out how to solve problems is one of your favourite activities. Building, scaling, and rapidly iterating upon software is what keeps you going
Effective communication: Concise written and verbal communication
Growth mindset: You want to learn and improve every day.
Collaborative: You know how to work with and through others to drive results and make change happen, and are customer service oriented.
Proactive: You prioritize what needs to be done and rally colleagues to get things accomplished; “roll up the sleeves” type of attitude
Enthusiasm: Ability to develop an extensive network of relevant relationships both internally and externally, as required

This is how we proceed:

After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero, our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CEO Sarah in the second interview.
In the third interview, you will talk to Ksenija our CTO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture, values, working style, etc..).
If all parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
