Collaborating closely with Sarah, our CEO, and the leadership team, you will help steer our financial planning, reporting, and fundraising efforts. Together, we can revolutionize the lithium-ion battery recycling industry and make a positive impact on the environment.

Please note that tozero is committed to fostering a strong company culture, and we do not offer remote/hybrid work at this stage—especially since our engineers need to be on-site in the plant and lab.

Tasks

🎯 Driving Fundraising, Operational Excellence, and Investor Relations to Propel Growth at tozero.

• Lead Fundraising Efforts: You’ll spearhead our equity and non-equity financing strategies, crafting compelling narratives and engaging with investors. Your goal is to uncover grants and public funding opportunities that align with our mission.
• Collaborate with Investors: You'll work closely with our board and investors to ensure everyone is aligned on our strategic vision while providing detailed financial updates and insights.
• Drive Financial Planning: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to support informed decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage Financial Operations: Take charge of our finance functions, including accounting, tax, and treasury management, while implementing solid internal controls and policies.

Requirements

• Experience: You bring 5+ years in finance, with a solid track record in investment banking, management consulting, or leadership roles in dynamic startups. Your experience includes securing significant funding and managing financial operations.
• Education: A strong background in finance is a must, with an MBA being a plus.
• Analytical Mind: You excel in breaking down complex data and enjoy working with numbers to facilitate informed decisions.
• Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable discussing technical aspects with investors and partners, helping optimize our offerings in line with financial goals.
• Communicator: You're skilled at engaging with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

This is how we proceed:

• After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero, our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
• Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CEO Sarah in the second interview.
• In the third interview, you will talk to Ksenija our CTO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture, values, working style, etc..).
• If all parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
