We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grant Writer and Development Expert to join our Business Operations team, directly reporting to our CEO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing non-dilutive funding sources to support our company's projects and growth. Moreover, the candidate will own our economic development effort, fostering relationships at a regional, international and continental level. The Grant Writer and Development Expert plays a pivot role allowing tozero to execute on it’s growth and expansion strategy as well as build strong investment cases for the company.

Tasks

What you can expect 💥

Help Identify suitable funding opportunities; including grants, loans, tax credits and other subsidies;
Ensure the timely submission of grant proposals by managing timelines and effectively record and track the entire non-equity fundraising pipeline
Assemble and organize data, figures, protocols and other relevant documentations;
Prepare, write and submit high-quality grant applications, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and requirements;
Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, organisations, political groups and other relevant parties
Keep up to date with funding trends, policies and regulations

Requirements

The background we would like to see 💪

Experience : 3 years+ of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or financial management, with a proven track record in securing non-dilutive funding;
Degrees : Affinity with the chemical and/or industrialisation engineering is a plus; PhDs are a plus
Outstanding writing and communication skills;
Excellent project management skills alongside an exemplary attention to detail;
Strong understanding of financial principles and funding mechanisms;
German and English speaking is mandatory

This is how we proceed:

After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero, our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CEO Sarah in the second interview.
In the third interview, you will talk to Ksenija our CTO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture, values, working style, etc..).
If both parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
