Your responsibilities

As a Data Analyst (m/f/x) at Travelcircus, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing data products, fulfilling data requests, and overseeing self-service tools to ensure stakeholders have access to timely and accurate insights. You will design and maintain ETL pipelines, support web tracking systems and collaborate with the DevOps team to maintain infrastructure, including job scheduling and database management. This full-time position is based in our vibrant office in Berlin.

Things you will work on

In the role of Data Analyst at Travelcircus, you will be responsible for the following topics:

Data Product Management: Manage and optimize data products to satisfy stakeholder needs and adapt to changes in underlying data sources.
Data Request Fulfillment: Fulfill internal and external data requests, providing timely and accurate insights to drive decision-making.
Self-Service Tools Management: Oversee the management of self-service dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring stakeholders can access and analyze data independently.
ETL Pipeline Development: Design, create, and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure smooth data integration and processing across the organization.
Web Tracking Support: Support the maintenance and optimization of web tracking setups, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and BigQuery.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Collaborate with the DevOps team to maintain the underlying infrastructure, including job scheduling, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Your profile

You have 1+ years working experience as a Business Strategist, Decision Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer or a related position
You have a degree in computer science, statistics, physics, econometrics, economics, business or a similar field
You have preferably but not necessarily worked in a tech or web-focussed company before
You are highly proficient in SQL and experienced with dashboarding tools (e.g. Metabase, Qlik, etc.)
You have programming experience in Python
You are highly results-oriented and comfortable with iterative processes
You have strong communication skills and are comfortable interacting with a range of internal and external business stakeholders
Your English skills are excellent in both, writing and speaking
Ideally, you are experienced with DevOps tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, Docker, NoSQL/SQL database configuration)
Ideally, you are experienced with Apache Airflow or similar workflow management toools
Ideally, you are experienced with web tracking/analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, attribution modelling)
