Unisphere translates pilot knowledge into software. Our Flight Management Platform automates the flight operations of drones and air taxis. We develop cloud-based software products and technologies, enabling industries without pilot knowledge to use unmanned aviation safely and efficiently. Tasks
The Role
- Collaborate closely with our technology team to develop a generic approach for deriving aircraft performance characteristics from actual drone flight data.
- Analyze recorded flight, specifically from PX4 and potentially other autopilots, to determine which data can be extracted.
- Document the extracted data, interpret it, and map it to corresponding parameters in our simulations.
- Potentially further develop the prototype towards full automation.
Requirements
Your Profile
- Passionate about aviation, drones, weather data, coding, machine learning, geodata.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with autopilot systems and flight data analysis is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Enjoy working in a team and characterized by an appreciative and open attitude.
- Independent, goal-oriented, and proactive in seeking feedback and improvement.
