Final Thesis, Working Student, Frontend Development Digital Co-Pilot Platform

Unisphere GmbH, an agile startup based in Konstanz, has been a pioneer in developing innovative solutions for unmanned aviation since 2017.

With our NOVA platform, we support drone operators and air taxi operators with digital twins to automate their flight operations. Our international and complementary team enables companies worldwide to use unmanned aerial vehicles safely and efficiently. We are currently seeking a dedicated working student or thesis candidate as a frontend developer for our Digital Co-Pilot platform.

Tasks

• In close collaboration with the team, you play a key role in developing our Digital Co-Pilot for our globally operating top clients in the air taxi and drone delivery sectors.
• You develop and test web applications and APIs that leverage our digital twins and simulation capabilities.
• Coming from our UI/UX team you take the task to implement features into the NOVA platform.
• You give feedback on technical feasibility of UI elements and components.
• We welcome ideas to bring our visualizations to the next level.
• You support deployment activities into our cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• You are passionate about topics such as aviation, drones, weather data, control centers, geodata, intuitive UI, digital twins, and data visualization.
• You have intrinsic motivation in this field and some experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in web development with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., VueJS, React, Angular...).
• Partial experience with Linux and cloud services such as AWS.Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• You have excellent communication skills in English.
• You enjoy working in an international team and are characterized by an appreciative and open attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile startup environment
• Travel requirements: 0-10%.
