The role

We’re seeking a Product Owner - Lab Automation Platform (m/f/d) to join our team and take a leading role in shaping our product's vision and delivery. As a key player in our mission to build the infrastructure for lab automation, you’ll drive the development of automation solutions that transform the way scientists and engineers work in biotech, pharma, chemistry, and food industries.

Our mission is to empower researchers and engineers by bridging the gap between lab equipment and cloud-based automation. Our customers are solving critical challenges like curing diseases, developing sustainable materials, and addressing global food security. We provide them with the tools to connect their devices, automate workflows, and unlock new possibilities in R&D.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical foundation, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to envision and execute innovative solutions. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and user needs, translating the promise of AI-driven labs into reality with the UniteLabs platform.

Your mission

Own Automation Solution: Lead a core portion of our product focused on lab automation and data flow, driving its development and adoption in the market, while ensuring scalability and performance.
Define and Execute Vision: Establish a clear vision for an integrated smart lab, leveraging AI and automation to empower researchers, and actively researching the market to ensure alignment with future needs.
Customer-Centric Design: Act as the bridge between users, stakeholders, and the development team, listening to feedback, gathering requirements, and translating them into intuitive, impactful solutions.
Testing and Research Leadership: Direct user testing sessions, gather actionable insights, and refine solutions to align with customer workflows and industry advancements.
Drive Innovation: Collaborate with users and the UniteLabs team to define how labs of the future will operate, ensuring our platform becomes an essential part of AI-driven labs.

Your profile

Technical Expertise: 3+ years of experience in lab automation within a biolab setting, with a track record of building tech stacks and architectures from the ground up.
Empathetic Leader: Strong ability to understand customer pain points and translate them into elegant solutions.
Visionary Product Owner: Proven ability to define and execute a product vision, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.
Automation Background: Experience with automation and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), ideally in enterprise-grade, stable, and reliable systems.
Proven Success: Experience as the first PO or a specialist in an automation software company, particularly one focused on scalable and impactful solutions.

Experience in startups or scale-ups focused on automation.
Background in enterprise solutions that have been adopted at scale.
Market research and product development experience in adjacent industries.
A deep understanding of AI-driven workflows and smart lab concepts.
