We’re looking for a Python Developer / System Architect (m/f/d) to join our team and play a key role in developing software that connects and translates lab equipment hardware interfaces, automates machines, and powers our next-generation automation platform. As a core team member, you will be working on cutting-edge technology, building software that bridges the gap between software and hardware, enabling seamless integration across various vendors.

Software Development: Design, build, and maintain software that translates and connects to hardware interfaces, automates machines, and enhances the functionality of our products for the needs of our customers.
Automation Workflows: Develop and implement automation workflows that enhance the performance of lab systems and integrate seamlessly with the UniteLabs platform.
Tech Design & Architecture: Assist with the technical design and architecture of automation products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Open-Source Contribution: Contribute to open-source projects and engage with the broader community, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Robust Experience: At least 4 years of relevant work experience, including professional freelancing or part-time work. Experience with machine automation and embedded systems is a plus.
Proficiency in Python: Strong expertise in Python for building integrations, automation solutions, and working with hardware interfaces.
Experience with Hardware Integration: A background working with hardware, embedded systems, or computer engineering is highly preferred.
Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in software development and system architecture, with experience solving complex problems in distributed systems.
Academic Background: A relevant academic degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with our tech stack
Experience with DevOps and cloud technologies.
Strong bonus points for experience with Rust.
Experience with additional programming languages closer to hardware like C, C++, or C# is a bonus.
