The opportunity
Build and lead our Strategy & Corporate Development Team and drive tangible impact by elevating our business development and corporate strategy to the next level. We are seeking a highly skilled, dynamic and experienced VP Corporate Development & Transformation (all genders) to spearhead the group's strategic initiatives including non-organic transactional activities. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder CEO, you steer the company resource allocations while optimizing profitability across our diverse markets. You play a crucial role in establishing seamless collaboration throughout the whole organization with ownership for projects of highest importance.

Your responsibilities
- Strategy development and execution: A well defined strategy paves the way for successful financial budgets and KPIs steering to hold the organisation accountable. Together with senior leadership, you set the group as well as departmental strategy up for success in strong alignment with our growth objectives. As a passionate connector, you lead, manage & execute the cross-departmental strategic dialogue and projects from initiation until successful completion; you manage the strategic plan throughout the year – once baked, keep a constant eye on the health of company performance to the Plan as initiatives are completed, swapped or injected
- Business Development: In close cooperation with the business, you identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and opportunities to expand the company's presence within the sports and wellness industry.
- Transactional Excellence: Oversee and drive the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, due diligence, negotiations, and post-merger integration (PMI/PAI).
- Project Management: Your team leads & manages multifaceted projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective utilization of resources.
- Market intelligence: Asses market and competitor landscape to identify our edge, growth opportunities and potential partnerships as well as create (business case) modeling.
- Leadership & Knowledge resource: As a culture carrier of the company you act as an inspiration and mentor to team members and other stakeholders, providing guidance and fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
What you need to succeed
- You bring 5+ years of experience as a senior leader (head level and above) and have the ability to lead a strategically focused team.
- Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred) in Economics, or a related quantitative field from a top university with excellent marks
- Experience as a top management consultant or at an investment bank with project lead experience is a must
- You can work independently but you are a team player, always looking out for the best interest of the team and company
- Previous involvement in fast paced startup/scale-up environments or in-house consulting within relevant industries is highly preferred
- Strong corporate development, strategy, transactional M&A track record and post-merger integration background with a strategic mindset and the capability to provide innovative and impactful solutions
- Exceptional Excel modeling skills for financial analysis and scenario planning and proficiency in interpreting and synthesising complex data and ideas
- Excellent stakeholder connector with outstanding story telling & presentation as well as interpersonal and analytical skills. Time management, and organizational skills, adept at collaborating across multifunctional teams, strong negotiator
- High business and tech acumen as a proven sparring partner to C-Level and board
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment, unafraid to ask critical questions
- English is a must, German a plus
