Your missionAs a Electrical Engineering Working Student (all genders), you will be part of our R&D team. You will work on the validation and verification of prototype hardware, software and algorithms for high voltage propulsion batteries and battery management, enabling us to develop and test highly integrated, state-of-the-art aerospace battery prototypes.
Your Day-to-Day- Substantially support validation and verification of propulsion battery and battery management prototype hardware, software, and algorithms.
- Implement and simulate propulsion battery models and battery state estimation and prediction algorithms.
- Develop and utilize test data post-processing and visualization tools.
- Support setting up and executing battery module and pack tests, including instrumentation, measuring, documentation.
- Support test report generation.
- Design and build small electronic and electromechanical hardware and software projects as required.
- Support lab work and organisation.
- Support battery prototype manufacturing.
Your profile- Electrical or electronic engineering degree or similar
- Significant Matlab/Simulink programming/modelling experience
- Experience of working in an electrical laboratory and with electrical equipment under test.
- Experience of processing large amounts of data and extracting meaningful information.
- Basic electronics debugging skills and experience with common lab equipment (soldering, electrical measurements, signal analysis).
- Experience with ARM microcontrollers, embedded C programming/debugging, CAN bus analysis a plus.
- PCB schematic and layout design skills and experience with relevant PCB design software (EAGLE, Altium Designer or similar) a plus.
- Knowledge of (Li-ion) battery technology and management a plus.
- High level of autonomy with the ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Goal-oriented, driven work style with analytical problem solving skills required.
