Voyfai teams up with freight forwarders (think travel agents for cargo), developing with them advanced AI technology so that they can operate much more efficient and have more time for their customers.

Supported by Europe's foremost venture capital firms (Earlybird, Atlantic Labs, Heartcore) and industry veterans (e.g. ex CCO CEVA and Hellmann), we are committed to building a diverse team that reflects the world we serve.

We are located in Berlin and our team consists of people from multiple industries and nationalities having worked at companies like Forto, DB Schenker, BCG, Tier Mobility and JP Morgan. We value different educational backgrounds, and our team comprises alumni of Stanford, EPFL, UMich or Warwick.

Our product and engineering team is looking for a UX / HCI Engineer to develop a deep understanding of how freight operators work, collaborate with AI engineers, and create intuitive, functional solutions that give superpowers to our users.

    Tasks

    • User Research: Build a deep understanding of freight operators' workflows, motivations, and challenges.
    • Collaboration with AI Engineers: Work closely with AI engineers to explore automation possibilities and how operators can utilize them.
    • Design: Design visually appealing, functional, and intuitive user interfaces and experiences.
    • Implementation: Code the designed solutions into our platform, ensuring seamless integration.
    • Testing and Refinement: Test solutions rigorously and refine them based on user feedback to ensure they meet user needs and expectations.
    • Performance Measurement: Measure the performance of solutions using both quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback. Discuss findings with the team to continually improve the platform.

    Requirements

    • 2 to 5 years of experience in UX engineering, with a focus on both design and coding.
    • Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and tools (e.g. Figma)
    • Ability to conduct user research, map out processes and apply findings to design.
    • Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript) and frameworks.
    • Strong coding skills and the ability to implement design solutions.
    • Familiarity with AI and LLMs.
    • Excellent communication skills for discussing performance metrics and user feedback.
    • A curiosity for new industries and people.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates with diverse experiences and backgrounds. If you're passionate and eager to grow, we want to hear from you, even if you don't meet every listed qualification.

    Benefits

    • A competitive compensation package with equity options, tailored to your preferences.
    • A flexible work environment that supports your work-life balance and family life, with options for remote work and flexible hours. Our team includes parents of young children, including one of our founders.
    • Opportunities (but no requirement) for global travel and collaboration, fostering professional growth and leadership development.
    • Growth opportunities joining a fast-growing early-stage company, with career paths allowing you to deepen your technical expertise as an Individual Contributor or explore Leadership and Management roles.

Voyfai is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and accessibility. We welcome candidates who are looking to grow their careers and lead in the tech industry. If you require accommodations during the application or interview process, or if you have any questions about how we support women in leadership, please reach out to us.
