With hubs in London, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles, our reach is global.

    About the role:

As an Associate Director on the Community and Creator Partnerships team, you'll be responsible for driving strategic creator planning, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning your team's work with Whalar's broader goals. You will lead and mentor Managers and Executives, supporting their growth and overseeing team performance.

This role includes oversight of campaign execution across a range of scales, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You'll also ensure client and creator-facing materials meet our standards and represent the team in high-level meetings. Success in this role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of and a large network in the creator economy.

    Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

    • Provide strategic oversight across Creator Partnerships campaigns, including creator selection and vetting to meet campaign goals and client expectations.
    • Uphold best practices and ensure high-quality execution across all projects, setting the standard through integrity, innovation, and results-driven leadership.
    • Lead a broad range of campaigns, manage projects at all scales, represent the team in senior meetings and provide thought leadership.
    • Partner with senior leadership to align team efforts with Whalar's goals and ensure consistency and quality in all client- and creator-facing materials.
    • Mentor and lead Managers and Executives, driving performance, career growth, and a culture of excellence, resilience, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
    • Support the development of Managers and Senior Managers through strategic planning guidance, operational oversight, and leadership coaching.

    Here's what we're looking for:

    • Have 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a leadership role.
    • Keen attention to detail and strong time and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated resilience when faced with challenges; ability to navigate through setbacks and learn from them to drive future success.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make strategic decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
    • Proven ability to adapt strategies and plans in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
    • Deep understanding of the creator economy and content strategy.
    • Exceptional project management skills, with experience in overseeing and streamlining workflows.
    • Proven track record of successful client engagement.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the team and the CCO in high-level meetings.
    • Passion for DEI advocacy in all aspects of the creator community.
