At the heart of Zapdeck, we leverage the latest in machine learning technology, presenting it through an intuitive drag-and-drop user interface. This seamless integration ensures that our powerful AI capabilities are accessible to all users, regardless of their technical expertise.

The presentation creation industry is a multi-billion dollar market, currently undergoing significant disruption due to advancements in generative AI. We've partnered with leading consultancies and agencies for beta testing and are in the process of raising pre-seed investment to further our growth in the next weeks.

As a co-founder, you will join Frederik, a former BCG consultant and UX designer for business software at SAP, and Riccardo, an ex-CPO at an InsurTech startup with extensive experience in building machine learning products.

Tasks

Lead front-end development: Drive the development of our intuitive, high-performance web-based software interface, ensuring a seamless UX.
Establish layout components: Work closely with the team to define and implement flexible layout components used to generate professional slides.
Ensure high code quality: Maintain high standards of code quality, ensuring robust, maintainable, and scalable front-end codebases.
Contribute to product strategy: Play a key role in shaping the product strategy by providing insights into front-end development capabilities and limitations.
Grow and manage a team: Hire engineering staff, plan the technical product roadmap, and act as a sparring partner for junior team members.
Represent Zapdeck: Foster partnerships, attend industry events, and promote the company's vision and achievements to stakeholders and the media.

Requirements

Professional requirements

At least 5 years of experience with React, 3 years with TypeScript.
Strong understanding of MVC and MVVM architectural patterns.
Proficient in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
Expertise in writing modular and maintainable CSS using SCSS or CSS-in-JS libraries such as styled-components.
Ideally: Experience working in a company related to content, media, or design, such as web-based tools for graphic design or video editing.

Residency Germany, preferably Berlin
Valid work authorization (no sponsorship available)
Strong passion for founding a company, with a self-driven work style and the resilience to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Fluency in German or English.
Ideally: Available to start in the new position within a short time frame.
